What’s in my Makeup Bag this Summer?

Wedding Guest Makeup look

Whenever you pack for a weekend break or an event away from home, it quickly becomes clear which beauty products are your must haves. Time to streamline my friends!

These are the makeup products that made the cut into my summer favourites collection and my wedding guest makeup bag…

What's in my Makeup Bag? Summer 2017

Laura Mercier illuminating tinted moisturiser, what I like most about this product is the lightweight formula and the gorgeous radiant finish it gives the skin. Another benefit of this tinted moisturiser is that it contains SPF 20. As I get older, I’m becoming more and more aware of the importance of protecting your skin from the damaging UV rays.

Nars soft matte complete concealer, I recently bought this along with a replacement of my Nars radiant creamy concealer and I must say I love both! I mainly use the soft matte concealer for covering under eyes and blemishes whereas I like to grab my radiant creamy concealer for t-zone application. The reason I prefer the soft matte complete concealer for covering undereyes and blemishes over the radiant creamy concealer is I find it creases less. My undereyes are on the drier side and despite this concealer being classed as ‘matte’ I find it wears well and looks lovely on.

Nars Laguna Bronzer, this has been a best selling bronzer for Nars for a long time and for good reason. Laguna is a beautiful natural bronze shade and it doesn’t look orangey when applied to the skin. I have fair skin and this bronzer is perfect for giving a sunkissed glow.

Becca Champagne Pop, this powder highlighter gives your skin the ultimate popping highlight. Becca are hands down my favourite brand when it comes to highlighters. Champagne pop is a Universal apricot-gold shade highlighter with an almost butter like texture. A highlighter sent from the Makeup Gods – aka Becca and Jaclyn Hill.

MAC Fix + Spray, a must have setting spray all year round. It can be used as a setting spray although I prefer to use it as a ‘fixer’ spray. When the skin is freshly powdered, I find it sometimes looks a little too powdery so I like to spritz my fix plus all over in an attempt to melt the products together. Let it settle for a few minutes, your skin will be looking flawless.

MAC Liptensity in shade ‘Doe’, I was really impressed by this lipstick, it has incredible longevity and a gorgeous creamy finish. ‘Doe’ is a medium tone warm peachy nude shade. I found this shade to be very flattering on, even on a fairer skin tone.

What are your go-to Summer Makeup must haves? I’d love to hear which products you’ve been loving recently.
